The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the last date of submission of bids for the selection of consultant for conducting a feasibility study and preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for its 100-acre Fintech park to be developed in the Yamuna Expressway region near the upcoming Noida International Airport, officials aware of the development said.

They said that the nodal agency for the development of Fintech Park is Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and the last date for bid submission is January 2, the technical bids will be opened on January 4.

Fintech Park is an ambitious project of the Uttar Pradesh government as it plans to turn the facility into a major financial services hub in Asia, the official said adding a pre-bid meeting was also conducted on November 30 where many fintech and property consulting firms had participated.

According to a senior YEIDA official, earlier the last date was December 13 but it has been extended to January 2 now. The date was extended because prospective bidders wanted more time to apply and they also had some queries regarding the project.

The Fintech Park is to be developed in YEIDA Sector 9, which is in proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar, which is expected to launch its maiden flight at the end of September 2024. The park is likely to be developed on a 100-acre land parcel located close to Yamuna Expressway.

The facility will include infrastructure supportive for the development of financial services companies. The Fintech Park will facilitate stock exchanges, banking, insurance, digital money, digital economy and financial R&D among others and also have facilities such as commercial spaces, hospitality companies, data centres etc.
